Abstract | ||||
The present investigation was carried out to find out the effectiveness of some biofertilizer treatments for improving the salinity tolerance and vegetative yield of guar plants. Results indicated that: in both seasons. averages of all the studied characters; plant height. numbers of branches. leaves and internodes! main stem, average root length; fresh and dry weights of shoot and root as well as yield components were decreased by all used salinity levels comparing to the control. This reduction increased progressively with raising salinity levels and reached its maximum at 6000 ppm. All biofertilizer treatments caused a significant increase in all studied characters. especially the Composite inoculum ( Nz- fixers + phosphorein). The anatomical study of the treated plants. with 6000 ppm salinity level. exhibited a considerable decrease in thickness of stem and its tissues; epidermis. cortex and vascular cylinder. The same trend was also occurred with all leaf tissues. On the contrary. biofenilizer (Composite inoculum) caused an increase in most tissues of the stem and feet comparing with the control plants. | ||||
