Abstract | ||||
phytochemical investigation of the primary (carbohydrates and amino acids) and secondary metabolites of Persicaria salicifolia seeds revealed the presence of free sugars and amino acids, they were analysed qualitatively and quantitatively. Also fifty-two active compounds were identified from n-hexane extract of Persicaria salicifolia seeds. Total phenolics and flavonoids were determined colourmitercally. The phenolics were identified using LC/MS. From this study Persicaria salicifolia seeds can be considered as a promising pharmaceutical agent. | ||||
