Abstract | ||||
In recent years hybrid propulsion has attracted widespread attention in view of a number of potentially attractive features, which could combine the advantages of both liquid and solid rocket motors. This article compares the characteristics of the hybrid propulsion system with those of solid and liquid propulsion systems. Because of the low combustion efficiency of the hybrid systems, the enhancement of the hybrid combustion efficiency, by means of the post-combustion chamber, is investi- gated theoretically and experimentally. | ||||
