Abstract | ||||
This research tries to shed light on one of the most important concepts in tourism and travel industry which is the concept of hospitality in ancient Egypt, Greek, and Roman civilizations. Hospitality as a great modern industry related to tourism and travel has a great importance nowadays, but it has also a very important historical back ground which reflects more value on this concept. Through this research, we get acquainted with the most prominent civilizations of the ancient world that were interested in the concept of hospitality, and had great indications for hospitality as a modern industry. This research also refers to the concept of hospitality in holy books in order to confirm the importance of this concept from a religious point of view. Recognizing the dimensions of the ancient concept of hospitality is considered the best approach to modern hospitality industry, and recognizing the importance of this concept in the religion emphasizes the importance of the guest and the need to respect the visitor, which is the main purpose of the hospitality industry. | ||||
