Abstract | ||||
This study synthesized two pyrazole preligands from two chalcones, the compounds characterized by FT-IR and NMR spectroscopic methods. Metal complexes of thiocarbamate for pyrazoles were synthesized and characterized. All complexes were prepared with (a 2:2:4 mole ratio of preligand, metal salt, and CS2). The liquid crystalline behavior of prepared compounds was studied via Optical polarising microscopy (OPM). The preligands show enantiotropicNematicmesophase with a wide thermal stability range, and some of the complexes also showed liquid crystalline properties. | ||||
