Abstract | ||||
We present in this paper a performance study of five different quantization schemes for coding (LPC) of speech. The quantization schemes used in this study are: linear quantization scheme, piece wise linear quantization scheme ,equal area quantization scheme ,],og area ratio (LAR) quantization scheme, and inverse sine quantization scheme. The LPC distance measure proposed by Itakura is used for evaluating these quantization schemes. | ||||
