| Abstract | ||||
| The major purpose of this study was to see how growth regulators and sucrose content affected in vitro propagation of four citrus rootstocks: Volkameriana Lemon, Sour orange, trifoliate orang, and Cleopatra mandarin. So, the goal of this research was to see how the impacts of MS media supplemented with Sucrose at 30, 45 and 60 g /L either individually or in combination with BA and NAA at different concentrations on in vitro seed germination of four tested citrus rootstocks. Our data cleared that adding Sucrose at 30 g/L to MS media gained the highest seed germination of all tested citrus rootstocks compared with other concentrations of sucrose. Through initiation stage, adding1.5 mg/L BA and 0.01 mg /L NAA to MS media caused an increase shoot number and shoot fresh weight while the highest shoot length and leaves number of all tested rootstocks possessed when the explants were cultured on MS media accomplished with both BA and NAA at 0.5 mg /L and 0.01mg /L respectively. Results showed that, the highest shoots number and shoot fresh weight through multiplication stage obtained when the micro-shoots of all tested rootstocks were cultured on MS media supplemented with BA and KIN at 1.0 mg /L of all tested rootstocks. MS media complemented with1.0 mg /L of IBA and NAA caused the maximum roots number of all tested rootstocks. Volkameriana lemon and Cleopatra mandarin were superior on other tested rootstocks regarding the effect of MS complemented with BA and IBA either individually or in combination between sucrose at different concentrations on growth parameters. | ||||
