Abstract | ||||
ABSTRACT Castrates consumed more feed and had higher feed intake as a percentage of body weight than intact Desert male goats. Older males had a higher dressing percentage than younger ones. Castration improved meat juiciness and tenderness scores and resulted in a relatively higher flavour score. | ||||
