| Abstract | ||||
| Abstract The main aim of this research is conspicuously to scrutinize Hong Kingston’s The Woman Warrior. The present paper sheds light on the complexities of modern autobiography. Kingstone’s The Woman Warrior is an unconventional form of autobiography, and this may reflect her unconventional journey of self-discovery. It also demonstrates a set of development stages of the Hong Kingstone. To be more accurate, Kingstone went through many stages in order to find her identity. Achieving so, she fought against two sides: Eastern and Western. She rebelled over her Chinese tradition and the American racism. Therefore, this study poses a number of questions as follows: Firstly, how do Chinese Americans establish their cultural identity? Secondly, how did Kingstone establish her identity as a Chinese woman? Thirdly, what is the meaning of ‘silence’ in Kingstone’s journey of self-discovery? الهدف الرئيسي من هذا البحث هو التدقيق بشکل واضح في المرأة المحاربة للکاتبة هونغ کينجستون. تلقي هذه الورقة الضوء على تعقيدات السيرة الذاتية الحديثة. وتعد رواية المرأة المحاربة للکاتبة هونغ کينجستون شکل غير تقليدي للسيرة الذاتية، وقد يعکس هذا رحلتها غير التقليدية لاکتشاف الذات. کما يوضح مجموعة من مراحل التطوير لـلکاتبة. ولکي نکون أکثر دقة، مرت کينجستون بمراحل عديدة من أجل العثور على هويتها. ولتحقيق ذلک، قاتلت الجانبين: الشرقي والغربي. کما تمردت على تقاليدها الصينية والعنصرية الأمريکية. لذلک تطرح هذه الدراسة عددًا من الأسئلة على النحو التالي: أولاً، کيف يؤسس الأمريکيون الصينيون هويتهم الثقافية؟ ثانيًا، کيف أثبتت کينجستون هويتها کامرأة صينية؟ ثالثًا، ما معنى "الصمت" في رحلة کينجستون لاکتشاف الذات؟ | ||||
