Abstract | ||||
This study was conducted in outdoor installation of the fish laboratory at Poultry and Fish Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Menoufia University to evaluate effects of orange peel meal supplementation as feed additive in the diets for mono-sex Nile Tilapia fries. The obtained results showed that the supplementation of orange peel at 10 g/kg diet improved growth performance and feed utilization. Significant differences were found in body composition and carotenoids content. The increasing trend was observed in antioxidant activity of fish liver by the increasing level of orange peel meal in the diets. Significant differences were found in blood parameters of mono-sex Nile tilapia fed the experimental diets. No diet-related histopathological changes were noted in liver and intestine of the examined fish. | ||||
