Abstract
الملخص:
هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على الأمية الرقمية، المتمثلة بالتحديات في استخدام أجهزة الهواتف الذكية، والخدمات الذاتية وعلاقتها بالانسحاب الاجتماعي لدى كبيرات السن، منهجية الدراسة تحليلية عن طريق المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة، واعتمدت أداة الاستبانة لجمع البيانات اللازمة للدراسة، وتمثَّلت العينة بالمسنّات من مواطنات المملكة العربية السعودية، اللاتي يواجهنّ التحديات في استخدام الهواتف الذكية، والخدمات الذاتية في ظل الأمية الرقمية، وتم الوصول إليهنّ من خلال ذويهنّ، وبلغ حجم العينة (384) مفردة، أُختيرت عن طريق كرة الثلج، توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود تحديات فعلية لدى المسنات عند استخدامهنّ للتقنية الحديثة بسبب ضعف التعليم، والخبرة، وعدم فهم لغة هذه الأجهزة، تأثرت المسنات من الناحية الاجتماعية بشعورهنّ بتغير طبيعة الحياة من حولهنّ، وعدم راحتهنّ بالأنشطة التي يكثر فيها استخدام التقنية، وتفضيلهنّ البقاء في المنزل وقتًا طويلًا حالة من الانسحاب الاجتماعي؛ لعدم قدرتهن على مواكبة العصر الحالي الذي تنتشر فيه التقنية بشكل كبير. وأخيرًا توصلت الدراسة بأن هناك تحديات مشتركة فيما بين استخدام الهواتف الذكية، والخدمات الذاتية، بحيث تقاربت نسب الصعوبة في الاستخدام. وهذا يدل على عدم وجود فرق في التحديات التي تواجها المسنات، سواء في استخدام الهواتف الذكية، أو الخدمات الذاتية. وقد تعود هذه الصعوبات لقلة الخبرة في استخدام التقنية بأنواعها، وتفضيل المسنات زيارة الفروع الرئيسية وتلقي الخدمة عوضًا عن طلبها عبر الهواتف، وأجهزة الخدمات الذاتية.
Abstract
This study aimed at identifying the digital illiteracy represented by use challenges of smart phone technology and self-service devices and their relationship with social withdrawal of old the women. The study adopted the social survey using sample. The questionnaire tool was adopted to collect the necessary data for the field study. The sample was represented by elderly Saudi women who use smart phone and self-services, whose age range between 65 years and above, and we reached them across their relatives. The sample size was (384) individuals, selected by means of snowball sample. The study concluded that there are actual difficulties among old women when using modern technology due to poor education, lack of experience and lack of understanding of the language of these devices. Also, such difficulties affected the elderly women’s feelings of anxiety, badness, and negativity because of their inability to fulfill their interests via technology and their dependence on others and their lack of experience with modern technology, which caused them a degree of incompatibility represented in psychological alienation.Socially, older women have been affected by the changing world around them, their discomfort with activities that frequently use technology, and their preference to stay at home for a long time, made them feel socially withdrawn because they were unable to keep pace with the current era in which technology is widespread. Finally, Finally, the study found that there are common challenges between the use of smart phones and self-services, as the difficulty of use converged. This indicates that there is no difference in the challenges faced by older women, whether in the use of smartphones, or self-service. These difficulties may be due to the lack of experience in using technology of all kinds, and the preference of older women to visit the main branches and receive the service instead of requesting it via phones and self-service machines.
