| الملخص: تخطو الترجمة الآلية خطوات ثابتة ومستمرة في تحسين وتطوير جودة الترجمة، وهو الأمر الذي أحدث قفزة في سوق الترجمة في الآونة الأخيرة وأصبحت الترجمة الآلية جزءًا من العمل المألوف للمترجم في شكل تعديل للترجمة الآلية عبر تدخل العنصر البشري فيها. وبالرغم من وجود برامج مختلفة للترجمة الآلية (المجانية)، إلا أن خدمة الترجمة التي يقدمها عملاق التكنولوجيا جوجل وكذلك شركة ميكروسوفت هما الأكثر شهرة وربما استخدامًا في الوقت الحالي للترجمة الآلية. لكن حتى بعد التدخل البشري تظل جودة الترجمة الآلية قبل وبعد التعديل البشري لها محل خلاف ونزاع؛ خلافٌ في جودة الترجمة حسب الهدف من الترجمة والنوع النصي وبالتالي اختلاف جودة المنتج المترجم آليًا، ونزاعٌ حول تفاصيل تتعلق بحماية البيانات الشخصية ومخاطر تسريب معلومات حساسة وغير ذلك. ويتناول البحث هذا الموضوع من خلال وضع أساس نظري لهذا المجال الجديد من عمل المترجمين وتتبع جودة الترجمة من خلال أنواع نصية مختلفة وعرض لأهم طرق الاستفادة من هذا التطور وتحديد أوجه المخاطر المحتملة. Abstract: Machine translation is currently making huge progress and it is hard to imagine a translator's everyday life without it. Currently, there are three world-renowned translation programmes available for free translations: Google Translator, Microsoft Translator and Deepl, the latter of which offers translation services in a smaller number of languages that do not include Arabic. For Arabic as a source or target language, only Google Translator and Microsoft Translator are available: 1. Google Translator: According to its own information, this programme currently (as of 2022) offers 109 languages and can translate long sentences and texts (for the language pair German/Arabic). 2 Microsoft Translator is also an automatic translator for several languages, including German and Arabic.Due to numerous advantages, but also specific problems such as data protection, literal, context-independent translations, culture-specific gaps, idiomatic errors, etc., machine translations are judged differently depending on their purpose and should or sometimes must be reworked, i.e. postedited, before they are used. This has given rise to a new [translation] activity, namely "post-editing", which is discussed in more detail in this article.
