Abstract | ||||
This study aimes at recognizing the farmers' opinions of some contingent changes reflected from the implementation of agricultural liberation policy regading: time denoted is farming work, pattern of form holding, and pattern of farm production, the farmers attitudes toward: the regulation of the relation between renters-owner law (no. 96 -1992), decision of crop prices liberation and decision of invalidation of imperative crops rotation, problems as viewed by farmers due to its ap• plication and their recommendations and finally the efficiency of Extension services to cope the farmers needs, to face the problems of Applying the new economic policy. Behira governorate was the research area, five large villages were selected from five districts: a Random sample of 248 farmers were selected to represent about 10 percent from their population. Through a questionair with inter-view data were provided to achieve the objectives. Main results revealed that there is a tendency to appear changes in: work time devoted to farming, ownership as a pattern of farm holding, and cultivation cash crops more than other activities. Also there favourable attiudes toward the effect of the studied law and the other divisions. Respondents were mentioned some problems and limitations facing them, so the research ended with some recommendations. As a result of liberalization in agricultural sector the respondents mentioned some problems such as: increasing in unemployment, the price of agri-land has increased, also the rente of cultivable land has doubled. | ||||
