Abstract | ||||
The poultry industry in Egypt is one of the main sources that provide the population with their needs for animal protein, and the Matrouh governorate is one of the most promising governorates in the activity of broiler, where the governorate is characterized by the availability of many conditions for the growth of this industry, the problem of research is the existence of In addition to the large size of the unregulated sector of the industry, which resulted in the lack of clarity of the level of productive and economic efficiency of the broiler farms in different production capacities in Matrouh governorate. The research aims to study the most important factors affecting the production of broiler chickens in Matrouh governorate. A field sample of 120 farms were selected from the farms of broiler fattening, and after estimating the production functions of broiler chickens, it was found that there is a statistically significant inverse relationship between the number of dead chicks during the production cycle in Thousand chicks and the amount produced from broiler chickens in tons in the two productive categories and in the total research sample, which broiler fattening during that period, thus to increase the amount of white meat production from broiler Fattening has to reduce the number of dead chicks during the production cycle as much as possible and this depends on the provision of a package of good production practices, and was calculated some indicators of economic efficiency. | ||||
