| Abstract | ||||
| Egypt sustainable development Strategy aims to build a state with a diversified and competitive economy that depends on knowledge, justice and makes progress in the Egyptian urban environmental quality. In this context, previous studies have shown that most of the Egyptian coastal cities have problems such as the dependence of these cities on tourism as a major economic activity, which led to a decline in the growth rate of most of these cities as a result of non-diversification of its economic activities. Therefore, this paper aims to review and evaluate the current situation of Sharm El-sheikh urban development as an example of one of the most important Egyptian coastal cities, and try to evaluate it using a number of sustainable city indicators. The research concluded that Sharm El-sheikh city currently has many advantages of sustainable cities; however, its economic activities should be diversified, as well as not to overlook the morality and social criteria of Egyptian and Arabic community by the time of promoting tourism in the city and developing the operating systems of various touristic facilities. So that the city will be economically sustainable without having crises from time to time, and also to obtain the city an advanced level in the ranking of sustainable cities. The research recommends the necessity to complete and unify some services and the urban spaces furniture in all city neighborhoods to meet the Egyptian and international scientific standards. ا ستراتيجية التنمية المستدامة لمصر تھدف الى بناء دولة ذات إقتصاد تنافسى و متنوع يعتمد على المعرفة والعدالة، و يرتقى بجودة البيئة العمرانية المصرية. وفي ھذا الإطار أوضحت دراسات سابقة أن معظم المدن الساحلية المصرية لديھا مشکلات منھا اعتماد تلک المدن على السياحة کنشاط اقتصادى رئيسى، مما أدى الى انخفاضمعدل نمو معظم تلک المدن نتيج ة عدم تنوع الأنشطة الا قتصادية بھا، لذلک تھدف ھذه الورقة البحثية الى استعراضو تقييم الوضع الحالى للتنمية العمرانية لمدينة شرم الشيخ کمثال لأحد أھم المدن الساحلية المصرية، ومحاولة تقييمھ با ستخدام عدد من مؤشرات المدن المستدامة، وخلصالبحث الى أن مدينة شرم الشيخ تملک حاليا کًثير من مميزات المدن المستدامة إلا أنھ يجب تنويع الأنشطة الاقتصادية بھا، بالإضافة الى عدم إغفال المعايير الأخلاقية والا جتماعية للمجتمع المصرى والعربى عند الترويج السياحى للمدينة، وعند وضع نظم تشغيل المرافق السياحية المختلفة، وذلک لکى تکون المدينة مستدامة ا قتصاديًا دون أزمات بين الحين والأخر، وأيضًا لکى تحقق المدينة مستوى متقدم فى تصنيف ا لمدن المستدامة. ويوصي البحث بضرورة استکمال و توحيد مستوى بعضالخدمات و فرش الفراغات العمرانية بکل أحياء المدينة بحيث تتوافق مع المعايير العلمية المصرية و الدولية. | ||||
