The flow chart was employed to write down every single step of administration of medication procedure, besides the time allotted for each step. This process was repeated for 6 days in each unit. The main finding in the present study is that as a result of applying work simplification to administering medication, there was a significant [p < 0.05] reduction of 53.35% of nurses' time spent in the medical unit, and a similarly significant [p < 0.05] reduction of 57.28% in their time in the surgical unit. | ||||
