Abstract | ||||
Background: Children's morbidity and death from heart failure continue to be major contributing factor. The evaluation of several biomarkers may serve as a valuable diagnostic aid. Objective: To evaluate the role of Proadrenomedullin in detection of heart failure. Conclusion: There is a high diagnostic value of measuring plasma level of proADM at admission, regarding the diagnosis in the setting of pediatric congestive heart failure, and can be used as prognostic value after treatment. | ||||
