Abstract | ||||
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of using a mixture of ground celery seeds with cinnamon powder as natural additives on performance, carcass parameters and some blood constituents in Japanese quail. One hundred eighty, one day old of Japanese Quail were randomly assigned in (3×2) factorial design arrangement. Three crushed celery seeds levels (0, 3 and 6 g/kg diet) and two cinnamon powder levels (0 , and 4 g/kg diet) were used in six treatments.The obtained results indicated that chicks fed diet contained mixture of 6g/kg celery+4 g/kg cinnamon exhibited the highest body weight (BW) and body weight gain (BWG) at 28, 35 and 42 days of age and improved feed conversion ratio (FCR) at 2,3 and 4 wks of age compared to the other treatments. Dressed percentage increased in chicks fed the last previous mixture. Albumin, total protein, cholesterol , phosphorus, triglycerides and AST were significantly (P | ||||
