Abstract | ||||
In this article, prediction limits for the balanced random one-way model are discussed. They are shown to be equivalent to the β-expectation tolerance limits. Both limits are compared using Monte Carlo simulations. This study shows that, while both limits have similar coverage probabilities, tolerance limits have smaller estimated mean lengths. An example is given to illustrate both types of inference. | ||||
