Abstract | ||||
The study aimed to clarify the impact of digital transformation on environmental governance to maximize the value of the enterprise and to determine the extent to which digital transformation technologies contribute to the activation and application of environmental governance mechanisms. To achieve this goal, the researchers applied study by designing a survey list for accountants, auditors, employees of the financial and administrative sector, environmental report preparers, and employees of the digital transformation unit in advanced industries companies. On the aforementioned categories and the collection of (169) questionnaires in the Egyptian Italian company Aeropack - for advanced packaging the study sample. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant correlation between digital transformation techniques and activating environmental governance mechanisms, and between digital transformation applications and maximizing the value of the enterprise. The study recommended the following: First, The need to educate senior and financial managements of advanced industrial companies about the importance of adopting and applying digital transformation technologies and activating environmental governance mechanisms, in response to the rapid environmental changes. Second, Continuing studies that show the advantages of companies using digital information technology. Third, establishing a basic infrastructure for digital transformation by using a set of devices, operating systems, storage media, and software that operate within technical environments and information centers that allow the use of all assets with high operational efficiency. Fourthly, establish the principles of environmental governance at the internal and external levels in order to ensure the optimal use of available resources. | ||||
