Abstract | ||||
The multi-stage censored sampling is frequently used in life and fatigue tests. This sampling method allows the termination of the test rapidly and includes at least some extreme life spans in the data. This paper deals with the maximum likelihood estimation problem for the five unknown parameters of the mixed Weibull distribution using multi-stage censored type I sample. New estimators are derived, earlier results may be obtained as special cases from our new results. An illustrative numerical example is included. | ||||
