Abstract | ||||
Cooperatives faced responsibilities greater than their capabilities, which was reflected in their performance, inadequacy in achieving the role entrusted to them, and a decrease in their contribution to achieving agricultural development. Research problem: The current role of agricultural cooperatives has decreased, and if agricultural cooperatives do not move towards development and modernization, they will remain unable to achieve the goals entrusted to them - to achieve the interests of their members, through increasing their incomes and maximizing their profits. Research objectives: Evaluating the efficiency of the performance of agricultural cooperative societies - in the New Valley Governorate, to determine the determinants of their success in performing their work, in order to determine the methods of developing their work, and to develop a future strategy for the advancement of cooperatives. The most important results and recommendations: The factors for the success of cooperatives are the members numbers, cultivated area, net operating surplus, total reserve, And cooperative participation in projects. The determinants of each of these factors are: difference between geographic regions and type of cooperatives, total financial allocations and the total capital of the cooperatives, Operating surplus and return on transactions, fixed and total assets value, Total accounts for cooperatives. Applying the results of the strategy deduced from the SWOT analysis: by: Exploiting the power of the cooperative. | ||||
