Abstract | ||||
This research mainly aimed at identifying the level of knowledge of the Honeybee Breeders surveyed with the Technical Recommendations for honeybee disease resistance, by identifying the knowledge gap related to technical recommendations for disease control at honey bee breeders, and identifying the correlation between the knowledge of the Honey Bee Breeders surveyed with the Technical Recommendations for disease resistance and the studied independent variables, and determining the percentages of the contribution of the independent variables with a significant correlation with the level of knowledge of honey bee keepers in explaining the total variance, and to achieve these goals, a questionnaire was designed and its data were collected in a personal interview with a sample of 170 respondents from honey bee, data were collected during the last quarter of 2022. Results: The degrees of knowledge of the respondents for all the items of the studied recommendations were low, and the general average of the degrees of knowledge of honey beekeepers about the items of recommendations related to disease control was 3.33 degrees, representing, 83.21%. 23.5% of the respondents fall into the category of those with low knowledge of technical recommendations for disease control, 41.8% of them fall into the category of those with medium knowledge. The percentage of the contribution of the independent variables combined together in explaining the total variance in the degree of knowledge of the honey bee breeders of the respondents is 31% | ||||
