| Abstract | ||||
| The research aimed to identify the personal, socio-economic and professional characteristics of the fishermen interviewed in the research area, and to determine the degree of knowledge of the surveyed fishermen of the legislation regulating the process of marine fishing in the research area. 10% of the total number of fishermen from natural marine fisheries in the Mediterranean Sea in the research area, and data was collected during the months of November and December 2022 by means of a personal interview for the respondents by means of a questionnaire form that included twenty phrases to measure the knowledge of the fishermen of the respondents about the legislation regulating the process of marine fishing in the research area, and to determine the relationship between The degree of the fishermen's knowledge of the laws and decisions regulating the marine fishing process and their studied variables in the research area. Numerical inventory and tabular presentation were used to describe the data of this research by frequency, percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and mode, and the simple correlation coefficient of Pearson and Spearman was used in the analysis. | ||||
