Abstract | ||||
This research aimed to identify level adoption of respondent for innovative agricultural technologies in rice cultivation, the rate of their adoption for these technologies, to identify the variables associated with their degree of adoption for these technologies, to identify the variables determined to their degree of adoption for these technologies and reasons for not adoption of respondent for these technologies. A questionnaire form was designed for this purpose. A systematic random sample of 191 respondent from three villages :Balnkoma, EI Bashaier and Meniat Alashraf. Percentages, frequencies, and multiple correlation and regression analyses (Step-wise) were used to the data analyses and present the data. The most important findings of this research were : - 55.5% of the respondent their adoption level for innovative agricultural technologies in rice cultivation was low, 27.7% of them their adoption level was moderate and 16.8% of them their adoption level was high. - It was found that the least innovative agricultural technologies in rice cultivation according to the rate of adoption: trichograma parazide use (5.3%), transplanting technology (7.9%) and cultivation using the loqma method (14.1%). - There are four independent variables significantly affected the degree of adoption for innovative agricultural technologies in rice cultivation and together explain 73.1% from its variation which were:knowledge of the advantages of using technologies (13.8%), education degree (7.3%), degree of risk (4.4%) and extension exposure (2.7%). - The most important reasons for not adoption of respondent for these technologies was: high cost (97%) and difficulty obtaining (95.3%). | ||||
