Abstract: In this paper several optical configurations for an orbiting high-resolution panchromatic pushbroom camera are presented. The geometric design aspects for different optical sensor systems are discussed. Several optical telescope configurations emphasizing the challenges associated with high resolution imaging are studied. Different case studies and the result of a trade-off analysis, considering not only optical performance but also other aspects such as cost, volume and complexity are presented. | ||||
