ABSTRACT This paper addresses the effects of errors in symbol timing estimation on t performance of space time coded systems. Fixed and uniformly distributed timing errors w different variances are assumed. Furthermore, the improvement of timing estimates w increase in signal to noise ratio is modeled to yield practical expectations of performan This symbol timing–error is applied to a simple transmit diversity scheme using QPSK 8PSK modulations. This paper could be useful guide for definition of requirement in symb timing systems used in space time coding systems. | ||||
