Abstract | ||||
Herein, a phthalazine acetohydrazide derivative 4 was assembled and its behaviour towards carbon nucleophiles was thoroughly investigated. Subsequently, phthalazine derivative 4 was used as a valuable scaffold for synthesizing assorted heterocycles such as pyrazol, thiazolidine, and azetidine. Diversified reaction conditions and reagents were explored. The assigned structures of the assembled heterocycles were elucidated utilizing IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS, and elemental analysis. Finally, the newly assembled heterocycles were evaluated in vitro for their antibacterial activities. | ||||
