Abstract | ||||
The currnet study aims to develop digital and environmental citizenship skills of a sample of students of the Higher Institute for Specific Studies through their use of social media. On the secondary data necessary to achieve the objectives of the research, a program was also applied to a random sample from the Higher Institute for Qualitative Studies, affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Education, Giza Governorate, to ensure testing the validity or incorrectness of the research hypotheses. The researcher reached the most important results, which are social communication methods, which facilitate the exchange of opinions, free expression and the sharing of sources, ideas, plans, designs and work models between students among themselves on the one hand and between students and the teacher on the other hand. The researcher recommended the need to pay attention to the application of more programs that develop students' skills related to social media and more future studies on digital citizenship and the environment. I also recommend the importance of expanding the study of social networks and skills related to how to benefit from them to the fullest so that we can train students on them in order to achieve their scientific goals and serve their practical lives. Key words: environmental and digital citizenship - social communication - students of the Higher Institute for Specific Studies. | ||||
