Abstract | ||||
Abstract: The active impedances of the elements of planar finite phased arrays of dipoles are investigated for excitations which produce either pencil beam or fan beam radiation patterns with low side-lobe levels produced by tapered excitations. It is found that with tapered excitations the elements impedances in the array change considerably with beam scanning when compared with the case of uniform excitation. | ||||
