Abstract | ||||
Industrial designers are responsible for the shape and appearance of products, considering the manufacturing process's impact. They emerged as a specialized field in the 20th century, focused on mass or serial manufacturing, unlike the less defined design practices carried out by various individuals in the past. In the present day, industrial designers play a crucial role in selecting materials that enable high-quality and affordable production. The process of material selection is vital for solving design problems and has a direct impact on both the form and function of the product. To effectively implement designs, industrial designers must possess a deep understanding of material characteristics and limitations. By considering these factors, they can create designs that are not only aesthetically appealing but also practical and functional. | ||||
