| Abstract | ||||
| High flow priapism is a persistent penile erection caused by high flow of arterial blood into the corpora. High flow priapism is not a urological emergency, less common than low flow priapism and usually related to a history of trauma. Diagnosis of high flow priapism usually depends on history, physical examination, corporeal blood analysis and color doppler ultrasonography. High flow priapism should be suspected in post traumatic patient who presents with mild pain and persistent tumescence. Management of high flow priapism is usually conservative but intervention in the form of either surgery or endovascular embolization maybe required if conservative measures fail. We report an uncommon case of arterio-cavernosal fistula in a child post falling astride which was successfully treated with super selective embolization using microcoils. At follow up after six years, Patient was free of any episodes of recurrent priapism with no symptoms of erectile dysfunction or any other complications. | ||||
