Abstract | ||||
Although conservative surgery is a leading treatment of breast cancer in its early stages, its realization requires the presence of factors that offer the same results as that of radical mastectomy modified from the point of view of overall survival and survival without relapses with an acceptable aesthetic result. Today, more than 75 per cent of patients diagnosed with breast cancer in developed countries are treated by conservative surgery, thanks to the availability of rapid diagnostic components and preoperative chemotherapy or hormone therapy for tumor sizes exceeding T1 and T2. | ||||
