A Single Center Experience Fady Sobhy Kamal Hennawy, Essam Abdel Wahed, Nour El Hoda Hussein Abdallah, Rania Abdel Monem Radwan Department of Hematology, Faculty of Medicine, Ain shams University Corresponding author: Fady Sobhy Kamal Hennawy e-mail: fady.hennawy@med.asu.edu.eg, Phone: 01223633239 Abstract Background: Relapsed/refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma, without a standard salvage regimen, represent a challenge in treatment and outcomes vary from subtype to another. Aim of The Work: Assessment of the outcome of R/R NHL in Egyptian patients receiving different salvage regimens. Patients and Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study on 55 patients with R/R NHL, undergoing salvage therapy and by following their records, the 3 year PFS and 3 year OS was measured against several parameters. Results: Our study showed that mean age of R/R NHL patients was 42 years, with male predominance (56.4%). Most patients had diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) (74.5%). Most patients received the salvage regimen GDP (58.2%). 33 patients underwent autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT), most of ASCT cases were uncomplicated (60.6%). The 3 year PFS was 62.3% and the 3 year OS was 52.7%. PFS and OS were affected by ASCT, and OS was impacted by the occurrence of ASCT complications and day of engraftment. Conclusion: In conclusion, there was no impact of salvage regimen or subtype of NHL on PFS and OS. ASCT results in better 3 year PFS and OS. | ||||
