Abstract | ||||
A green organizational culture is widely used in the tourism and hospitality industry worldwide. Although research in this field is gaining traction, it has been largely ignored in the Egyptian hospitality sector. As a result, studies on the relationship between employee performance and green organizational culture in the Egyptian hotel sector are scarce. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of green organizational culture on employee performance in a sample of five-star hotels in Cairo. The current study gains its theoretical importance because it addresses the importance of green organizational culture and its impact on employee performance. It also gains practical importance as it provides recommendations and research proposals to develop the performance of green environmental practices and the performance of employees. It also use of the descriptive methodology and the survey list, the study population comprises all personnel who are employed in Cairo's five-star hotels; 600 participated in the survey method utilized in this study, all of them worked for Cairo's five-star hotels. Using SPSS version 25, the data was analyzed using frequencies and descriptive analysis in accordance with the study's objectives and design. The influence was examined using a bivariate Pearson correlation. Structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis was the analytical method employed. According to the findings, a green organizational culture has a significant impact on employees’ performance. The study found that there is a positive statistically significant correlation between the depth of greening organizational culture and employees’ performance and there is a positive statistically significant correlation between the degree of greening organizational culture and employees' performance. Additionally, there is a positive statistically significant correlation between spreading the greening of organizational culture and employees' performance. The study recommended the need to develop investments in green sectors and work to develop financial and economic procedures and mechanisms in line with the implementation of the green culture program. As well the needs for the institution to pay attention to spreading organizational culture among employees in various departments and to provide some training programs that help develop and improve the professional skills of employees in Egypt's Hotel Sector. | ||||
