Abstract | ||||
Background: The finest placement of immediate implants within molar sockets frequently involves drilling to be within the inter-radicular septum. However, this can be difficult when employing conventional site preparation methods. Nevertheless, there have been reports indicating that immediate implant insertion in molar cavities is a viable treatment technique that yields favourable outcomes in terms of both survival and success rates. The utilisation of this technique has yielded several clinical advantages, including less surgical complexity, optimal placement of implants, and increased levels of patient comfort. Objectives: To evaluate the stability of immediate implant inserted in mandibular molar inter-radicular septum using osseodensification technique. Materials and Methods: Ten patients with ten lower molars to be extracted were chosen according to a list of inclusion and exclusion criteria. The participants undergone atraumatic tooth extraction, then the inter-radicular septum was densified using densah burs, immediate implants were installed. Assessment included measurements of implant stability using the Osstell device. Results: The results revealed that Secondary Stability (ISQ) three months postoperatively was statistically significantly increased compared to Primary Stability (ISQ) immediately postoperative (p < .001). Conclusion: Osseodensification using densah burs was found to be an efficient procedure in increasing stability of immediately placed dental implants in molar inter-radicular septum | ||||
