Abstract | ||||
A field test was performed to study the effect of using a three-space covered drainage system and fertilizing with zinc on wheat crop productivity under salt-affected soil conditions at EL-Serw Agricultural Research Station in Damietta Governorate, Egypt, in the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 seasons. The experiment was laid out in a split-plot design with a factorial arrangement and was replicated three times. The results showed that reducing drainage distances to 15 m led to a significant increase in the studied characteristics. On the other hand, increasing zinc fertilization to 40 kg ha-1 led to a significant increase in all studied traits, except for the phosphorus content of grains, which decreased with increasing zinc fertilization rates. From the results obtained, it can be said that the best treatment is to use a distance of 15 m for the subsurface drainage system with the addition of zinc at a rate of 40 kg ha-1 to maximize the productivity of the wheat crop. | ||||
