The Effect of Zanshin Training on the Level of Psychological Barriers and the Effectiveness of Offensive Behaviour for Ko-go Kumite Players in Traditional Karate Sport Research Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of Zanshin training on the level of psychological barriers and the effectiveness of offensive behaviour and counterattacks for Ko-go Kumite players in traditional karate sports. Conclusions: 1- Zanshin training is fundamental for traditional karate players and forms the basis of self-defence arts, where points are calculated based on it. It helps in clearing the mind and maintaining continuous motivation alongside mental and emotional calmness. 2- Zanshin training significantly contributes to reducing muscle tension, enabling players to control and make decisions during matches. 3- Mental clarity resulting from Zanshin training helped players sense and appreciate time. 4- Self-confidence resulting from Zanshin training helped in reducing psychological barriers by more than 40% in some factors. 5- Zanshin training improved the ratio of successful attacks, both offensive and defensive, thus enhancing the effectiveness of both types of attacks. Recommendations: 1- Zanshin training is crucial for traditional karate players and should not be neglected. Players should be trained in it from a young age as it cultivates them in the methods of martial arts. 2- Conduct a comparative study between Zanshin training in the East and psychological agility in players from the West. 3- Develop a specific scale for Zanshin based on defined factors and axes. | ||||
