| Abstract | ||||
| شغل الحيوان حيزاً ليس بالقليل من مساحة الديانات والحضارات القديمة، وشکل عنصراً هاماً من عناصرها، وقد لعب الثعبان دوراً کبيراً فى صياغة وتشکيل بعض جوانب الحضارتين المصرية القديمة والإغريقية على حد سواء، فقد ارتبط بالعديد من الآلهة فکان رمزاً لها أو من مخصصاتها ، کما ارتبط بالعديد من الأساطير. ففى الحضارة المصرية اتخذ عدد من الآلهة شکل الثعبان ومنها حورس فى صراعه مع ست، ومرت سجر وواجيت وعبب (ابوفيس) ونفرتوم، وفى الحضارة الإغريقية ارتبط بزيوس و أبوللو وأثينا وديونسيوس و ديمترا وهيرمس، کما ارتبط بصور المسوخ مثل تيفون و ميدوسا و هيدرا، وبالأبطال امثال کادموس و الديوسکوروى و هيراکليس. ولذا أصبح للثعبان أدوار وظيفية هامة اضطلع بأدائها حتى أصبحت من سماته منها الحماية، التجدد والخصوبة نظرا لطبيعته، العلاج وخاصة مع ارتباطه بالإله اسکليبيوس المساوى لإيمحتب، کذلک ارتباطه بالنبؤة والعرافة ومقار الوحى، مع التدعيم بما جاء من خلال الأدب الدينى والأساطير والبرديات . ويهدف البحث إلى عقد مقارنة حول المعتقدات المرتبطة بالثعبان ودوره فى الحضارتين الإغريقية والمصرية القديمة سواء المعتقدات الدينية أو الحياتية بغرض إبراز أهم أوجه التشابه والاختلاف والتأثير والتأثر وذلک من خلال عدة محاور: المحور الأول:- علاقة الثعبان بالآلهة (الآلهة ذات الهيئة الثعبانية- الثعبان معين للإله- الثعبان معترض للإله) المحور الثانى:- الثعبان فى الفکر والعقيدة المحور الثالث:- الثعبان فى الأدب والأساطير المحور الرابع:- وظائف الثعبان الحياتية وأهم أدواره الوظيفية Animals occupied a large space in the old religions and cultures, and they formed an important element of them. Thus, the snake played a great role in shaping some aspects of both Greek and ancient Egyptian Cultures alike, as it was related to many Gods. It was their symbol or one of their determinatives. In addition to that, it was also connected with many mythologies. In the ancient Egyptian culture, many Gods took the form of a snake like Horus in his fighting with Set, Merit-Seger, Wadjet, Abb (Abophis) and Nefertom. While in the Greek culture, it was related to Zeus, Apollo, Athena, Dionysus, Hermes… It was also connected with the shapes of deformed ones like Typhon, Midusa, Hedra, and the heroes like Cadmos, Aldioskoroy, and Hercules. In this way, the snake got some important functional roles, which became among its marks, like: the protection, renewal and fertility (this is because of its nature); the healing specially in his relationship with the God “Asklepios”, who was equal to God “Imhotep”; and finally his relationship with prophecies, fortune-telling, and oracle’s locations. All of that are proved in religious literature, mythology and papyri. The aim of this research is making a comparison between the beliefs - religious and life’s beliefs- and role of the snake in the Ancient Egyptian and Greek cultures. This comparison produces the most important sides of likeness and difference, acting and effect, by many points: First point: The relationship of the snake with Gods (God with snake’s form, the snake is God’s helper, the snake is God’s interceptor). Second point: Snake in thought and belief. Third point: Snake in literature and mythology. Fourth point: The life’s functions of the snake and its most important functional roles. | ||||
