Abstract
يهدف هذا البحث إلى تسليط الضوء على أحوال بليز (Belize) (هندوراس البريطانية) السياسية والاقتصادية 1964-1981م وهى الفترة التى أصبحت فيها سياسة الاستعمار قائمة على التبعية الاقتصادية، ولم يكن هدفهم هو استيطان بليز فحسب فمنذ بداية الاستعمار الأوربي فى القرن السابع عشر والثامن عشر على يد الاسبان ثم البريطانيين و سعوا إلى إقامة سياسية استعمارية اقتصادية تجعل بليز باعتبارها دولة نامية فى حاجة إلى الاعتماد على الدول الاستعمارية المتقدمة, وتأتي أهمية هذه الدراسة في توضيح مدى تأثير الأوضاع السياسية على الاقتصاد فيها, والتي اعتمدت بشكل كبير على المساعدات الخارجية خاصة الاقتصادية والمالية والعسكرية ، مما خلف اقتصادًا طرفيًا ظل يعتمد على الارتباط الدولى وتوطيد العلاقات مع بريطانيا والولايات المتحدة الامريكية ، لتلبية احتياجاته وتحقيق التنمية ما بعد الاستقلال عام 1981. This research aims to shed light on the political and economic conditions of British Honduras 1964-1981 AD, which is the period in which the colonial policy became based on economic dependency. Their goal was not only to settle Belize. Since the beginning of European colonialism in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries by the Spanish and then the British, they sought to establish an economic colonial policy that would make Belize, as a developing country, in need of dependence on advanced colonial countries. The importance of this study comes in clarifying the extent of the impact of political conditions on the economy there, which relied heavily on foreign aid, especially economic, financial and military aid, which left a peripheral economy that continued to depend on international association and strengthening relations with Britain and the United States of America, to meet its needs and achieve development after independence in 1981.
