Abstract | ||||
Abstract Sportswear enhances athletes' well-being by providing environmental protection and comfort. Demand is rising for functionalized and high-performance, comfort apparel. Ergonomic design offers a competitive advantage, balancing environmental, garment, and body needs to meet physiological and psychological demands. Applied in ready-to-wear sportswear, ergonomics improve safety and performance through sweat-absorbing, ventilated, and fatigue-reducing designs. In this research work to different methods were carried out for coloration and multi-functionalization, antimicrobial, UV-protective, and super hydrophilic polyester fabrics via alkali treatment followed by deposition of copper Nano particles and Ethylenediaminefollowed by acid dyeing, in two separate ways. The results emphasize that increasing CuSO4 concentration up to 9 g/L, treatment temperature up to 60°C for 40min., and dye concentration up to 2% (owf) results in a significant improve in: color strength, anti-UV protection efficacy as well as antimicrobial resistance capability to the selected pathogenic, S. aureus and E. coli. Additionally, the differences in K/S, durability to wash and the resistance to the UV and antibacterial properties is determined by type of both the Nano copper or acid dye. SEM and EDX evaluation for selected acid dyed/functionalized swatches committed the presence of N, and Cu-elements in addition to carbon, oxygen onto the vat dyed & Nano-functionalized fabric samples. | ||||
