Abstract | ||||
The biocontrol potential of Trichoderma sppagainsttomatolate blight pathogen i.e. Phytophthorainfestans was studied in vitro. Antagonism test was carried out between Trichoderma spp and P. infestans and showed a radial growth inhibition of the pathogen, and a complete overgrowth ofTrichoderma spponP. infestans. Moreover, the biocontrol agentTrichoderma spp significantly reduced the disease. In conclusion, from these results, it could be concluded that the biocontrol agents Trichodermasppcould be used efficientlyfor the suppression of the late blight causer organism P.infestans. | ||||
