Abstract | ||||
The dual education system thrives on a partnership between education and investors, necessitating a strong link between dual education programs and the Egyptian investment map. This research aims to align dual education specialties with investor-required skills based on available opportunities and projects in the investment map. A comparative analysis was conducted to assess the alignment between existing dual education specialties and the technical skills required to achieve investment goals. The study employed the exploratory method to translate investment opportunities into occupations and specialties, alongside a descriptive approach to evaluate the status of dual education programs in all 27 governorates. However, the analysis focused on four governorates: Cairo, Alexandria, Ismailia, and Aswan. Results revealed that Ismailia had the most investment projects, yet only 10% were matched by dual education specialties. Conversely, Aswan had dual education programs exceeding its investment opportunities, covering nearly double the requirements. Alexandria showed a 67% alignment between its dual education specialties and investment needs. In Cairo, despite significant investments in construction, dual education lacked relevant specialties, and only 14% of projects aligned with existing programs. The research recommends collaboration with the Ministry of Investment to integrate partnerships with dual education into investment contracts. Additionally, it suggests enhancing the investment map with a job database to connect investors with skilled job seekers, facilitating workforce alignment with investment needs. | ||||
