| The Kingdom of Sheba is one of the ancient kingdoms in the Arabian Peninsula, recently it was included by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in the list of endangered world human heritage on the fifth of March of 2023, and in the Kingdom of Sheba, religious buildings won the largest share of ancient Yemeni architecture, which gave them reverence and greatness and became the focus of attention for many explorers and archaeological missions from the second half of the twentieth century, and this is what made the researcher highlight These ancient buildings and their components to study them and make them a source of inspiration for many pieces of furniture and the beginning and point of Ghaith for future generations to complete them from where the researcher ended. -Search problem: The research problem boils down to: - The lack of designs for contemporary Yemeni furniture inspired by the symbolic connotations of the religious temples of the civilization of the Kingdom of Sheba. - Research Objective: Reviving the symbolic connotations of the religious temples of the civilization of the Kingdom of Sheba by making them a source of inspiration for the design of contemporary Yemeni furniture. -Importance of research: The importance of research lies in the revival of the civilization of the Kingdom of Sheba, especially the religious temples, which had the largest share in the artifacts reached by explorers. -Research Methodology: - 1- Descriptive and analytical approach: Where the researcher conducted a descriptive study of the temples, their components, their planning, and the study of the design lines in them and the symbolic connotations carried by the pieces in the temples. -2- Deductive approach: Where the researcher in the applied part deduced from some design lines for the facades of temples and artifacts in them. -Results: Religious buildings are considered one of the most important buildings in the civilization of the Kingdom of Sheba. The direct revival of symbols and connotations in religious temples in the Kingdom of Sheba is one of the best ways of revival to preserve their plastic and aesthetic proportions. The symbols and connotations of religious temples in the Kingdom of Sheba are characterized by engineering plastic construction, so they accept employment in contemporary design work in the field of furniture and are compatible with modern implementation techniques, whether digital or traditional. -Recommendations: The researcher recommends the importance of preserving the Yemeni heritage and always seeking to revive it, as it is a heritage for all humanity, as the Yemeni civilization is the oldest and finest human civilization that appeared on the Arabian Peninsula, and its survival must be immortalized by documenting its effects, and reviving it in contemporary design works in all areas of life. | ||||
