Abstract | ||||
Installation art in space is an innovative approach to reviving heritage buildings and achieving a balance between authenticity and modernity. Heritage buildings hold cultural and historical value, reflecting the identity of communities. However, they face significant challenges such as neglect and unplanned urban changes, necessitating sustainable methods to preserve and repurpose them. This research focuses on analyzing the concept of installation art in space as a contemporary trend in interactive visual art, transforming architectural spaces into three-dimensional artworks that reflect the designer's vision and integrate with their surroundings. This art is characterized by its diverse use of materials and its ability to enrich the audience’s sensory experience, offering a holistic artistic interaction that enhances architectural spaces and fosters a positive relationship between design and users. It combines traditional elements with modern techniques and methods to create interactive spaces that merge aesthetics with functionality. By reviewing successful examples of heritage building revitalization projects, the study demonstrates how this art form addresses contemporary needs while preserving the original identity of these buildings. The research employs analytical and descriptive methodologies to examine the architectural and artistic characteristics of heritage buildings and identify suitable installation art techniques. It also provides practical recommendations to maximize their potential. Expected outcomes include transforming heritage buildings into multifunctional spaces that accommodate cultural, artistic, and tourism activities, thereby strengthening cultural identity and promoting sustainable tourism. Moreover, this approach prolongs the lifespan of heritage buildings by adapting them to modern needs without compromising their historical value. | ||||
