| Abstract | ||||
| The research studies the published documents related to the mediation process for reconciliation between King Abdulaziz bin Saud (1293-1373 AH / 1867-1953 AD) and Imam Yahya bin Hamid al-Din (1286-1367 AH / 1869-1948 AD) to defuse the war between their two countries, which ended with the conclusion of a secret agreement between them, which was not mentioned or referred to in the sources and references related to that stage of the history of the Saudi Kingdom, which sheds light on the extent of the Arab and Islamic connection, and the national feeling felt by every Arab regardless of his homeland, as both Ahmed Zaki Pasha from Egypt and Nabih Bey al-Azma from the Levant took the initiative to attempt mediation between the two Arab kings in both the Hijaz and Yemen. It also sheds light on the extent to which each of the two kings accepted this role and even welcomed it. The research also sought to determine the extent of the success of this Mediation, its course of action, and analysis of events and results. The research dealt with the introduction, followed by the second part, which is the preface; in which the active figures in this treaty were identified, namely King Abdulaziz bin Saud, Imam Yahya Hamid al-Din, Ahmed Zaki Pasha, and Nabih Bey al-Azma. The third part dealt with the political situation and the preliminaries that led to the mediators’ travel to the Arabian Peninsula, the stages of the mediation journey, its events and dates, and finally the text of the agreement. The fourth and final part is the conclusion, followed by appendices of photos, documents, and maps that clarify the journey’s path. | ||||
