Abstract | ||||
Abstract: This study aimed at exploring the effectiveness of a training program in developing tolerance and social responsibility among University of Bisha students. The study sample consisted of (24) students aged 19-21. Participants were assigned to the experimental and control groups equally. Scales of Tolerance and Social Responsibility (prepared by the researchers) were used in this study. The program consisted of (18) training sessions, each session lasts 90 minutes and includes a variety of suitable training techniques. Researchers used the experimental method and the statistical patterns (Mann-Whitney & Wilcoxon) in order to verify the hypotheses of the study. Results of the study proved the effectiveness of the training program in developing both tolerance and social responsibility of students in the experimental group, since there were statistically significant differences between the rank means of the control and experimental group on the scales of Tolerance and Social Responsibility after applying the program in favor of the experimental one. Moreover, results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the experimental group rank means on the post/follow-up test. Researchers recommended incorporating more training programs to enhance other positive values in university students such as autonomy, respect, and belonging. | ||||
