Abstract | ||||
The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of compost, nitrogen and micronutrient compounds fertilization on N-uptake, yield and yield components of wheat. A field experiment was carried out at Met-Dafer; Dekernes, Dakahlia-governerate, Egypt during the two successive winter seasons of 2008/2009 and 2009/2010. The experiment was conducted in a split split plot design; which consisted of three compost treatments (0, 5 and 10 ton fed-1) as main plots, nitrogen fertilization levels (0, 50 and 75 kg N fed-1) as sub plots and four treatments of micronutrient compounds (control, sitrin , sitrin + kotingin and kotingin) as sub sub plots. The obtained results indicated that compost and micronutrient compounds fertilization with nitrogen fertilization increased N-uptake, yield and yield components of wheat and 10 ton fed-1 compost treatment was the superior and the micronutrient compounds treatments excelled control and the sitrin + kotingin treatment was top treatment. The combination of compost and micronutrients along with nitrogen application improved yield, yield components and N-uptake. The best treatment was sitrin + kotingin at 50 kg N fed-1 with adding compost10 ton fed-1. | ||||
