Abstract
Abstract
This article traces how Arabic literature, dating from the ancient Abbasid period to the current Saudi–Houthi War, has commemorated the pre-Islamic battle of Dhū Qār. Modern poets commemorate the battle of Dhū Qār in light of later conflicts between the Arabs and their rivals, the Persians, and they portray the pre-Islamic Arabs as a united people who triumphed over the Persians. The Banū Shaybān clan’s success in protecting its identity has been developed as a source of inspiration for Arabs, who are reconstructing a collective memory of the battle in order to serve a modern political agenda. In contemporary Arabic literature, Dhū Qār is used to once again unite Arabs against a common enemy.
ندرس في هذا البحث استذکار العرب في عصور متأخرة لمعرکة ذي قار التي انتصرت فيها بعض القبائل
العربية على جيش کسرى قبيل الإسلام. وسنستعين بمفهوم (الذاکرة الجمعية) عند موريس هالبواخ ومفهوم (الذاکرة الثقافية) عند يان أسمان. وردت معرکة ذي قار في کتب التاريخ کتاريخ الطبري وتاريخ ابن الأثير مختصرة، ولکنها وردت مطولة وبشکل تفصيلي وبقصائد وأراجيز لم ترد عند الطبري ولا ابن الأثير في کتاب "حرب بني شيبان مع کسرى أنوشروان". ونحسب هذا الکتاب دون في عصر متأخر استنادا على أقدم النسخ التي توصلنا إليها لهذا الکتاب وهي من القرن السابع عشر والثامن عشر للميلاد في سنوات تصادف أيام صراع عسکري أو صراع فکري بين العرب والفرس.  
ونلاحظ عودة موضوع ذي قار عند بعض شعراء العراق أثناء الحرب العراقية الإيرانية (1980-1988) وکذلک وردت في بعض الکتب التي تعيد صناعة المعرکة بحبکة ولغة تحرض العرب على معاداة الفرس وتستنهضهم للتآزر والتکاتف ضد المنافس. کما نلاحظ عودة موضوع ذي قار مرة أخرى في الشعر المعاصر بکثافة غير مسبوقة خلال الحرب السعودية الحوثية التي بدأت عام 2015. فعملنا في هذا البحث هو محاولة للتحقيق في کيفية استدعاء معرکة ذي قار في عصور متأخرة، کيف تحولت من نصر قبلي لبني شيبان إلى نصر أممي؟ ما أهمية استدعائها؟ والأهم من ذلک کله ما الأبعاد والأهداف التي يحققها استدعاء تلک المعرکة؟
