Abstract | ||||
The study aims to identify the role of university libraries and their contribution to the fight against intellectual extremism and terrorism in order to achieve national security, standing on the corresponding constraints to achieve it, and how rehabilitation of librarians in Egyptian universities to play its role in combating terrorism and intellectual extremism. The researcher has relied on descriptive analytical study, relying on the questionnaire as a methodological tool to collect data from State University libraries in greater Cairo (Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Helwan University, Al-Azhar University). Given these points, the study finds several points: libraries under study possess the needed sources of information which aims to raise awareness among the beneficiaries about intellectual extremism and terrorism. However, these libraries experience severe shortcomings in the activities and services provided to combat intellectual extremism and terrorism. | ||||
